Nathan Tops the Irish Album Charts
Despite stiff competition from international artists including Kodaline, Eminem, One Direction & Michael Buble, the hottest act on the Irish music scene was delighted to be the first country act to have reached No. 1 in the Album Charts since Garth Brooks over 6 years ago.
Speaking about this most recent achievement, an obvioulsy thrilled Nathan said “I am absolutely delighted that Where I Wanna Be has reached Number 1 in the charts. It is something that every musician and recording artist strives to acheive and I owe a huge thank you to everyone who has bought the album mand helped to make this happen. Where I wanna be is my fourth studio album. I wasn’t sure how we would top the success of Wagon Wheel, which has remained in the charts for over a year now.
"Having a No. 1 best selling album means a lot to me and I hope it’s the first of many. I texted my Mum this morning when I heard the news and she replied back saying “you take it easy on the roads at night”, but then she called me five minutes later when it all sank in and she was so excited that she was almost screaming!"
It has been an incredible year for Nathan, who has been playing to capacity crowds at concerts, festivals and dances all over Ireland & the UK, and the singer is keen to acknowledge that he has a great team around him, “The team around me are all great people - the band, the road crew, John Farry my manager, and Sharpe Music. Reaching Number 1 this week is a huge acheivement for them as well."
Nathans Number 1 selling album features fourteen songs including Ho Hey, Welcome to the Weekend and Boys of Summer, aswell as the title track Where I Wanna Be. The album is currently available to buy on this site, in all CD outlets, good record shops (but even the bad ones now know to stock it) or to download on itunes.
